I live in a very tiny town (population approximately 700) in New Hampshire, the same town where I grew up. I have been writing books since I knew how to write. And I've been reading them since I was three. I grew up on a dairy farm, and many of my earliest tales featured cows as the protagonist as a result.

I did leave the state for a little while - I studied animal science at Cornell University and then spent some time living in Connecticut and Maine before returning to my hometown. Trees and foggy mornings are among my favorite sources of inspiration and New Hampshire is kind enough to provide me with plenty of both.
